Volleyball Recap: Central's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Central waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Clairemont Chieftains. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Sara Morales and Brianna Aguiar, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Maryanne Barrett and her 15 assists. Emma Vogel controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Central's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Clairemont, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Central and Clairemont will both be playing Santana the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Sultans at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, while the Chieftains will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
