Northeast hadn't done well against Clearwater recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Tornadoes with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won three in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Northeast took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-14, 25-10.

Savannah Ryder was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had nine aces and eight digs. Those nine aces gave her a new career-high. Lily Yohn was another key player, getting five kills, five digs, and five aces.

The win got Northeast back to even at 5-5. As for Clearwater, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
