Softball Game Preview: Ray Texans vs. Miller Buccaneers

Friday just wasn't the day for Ray's offense. They came up short against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on Friday, falling 24-0. The loss continues a trend for the Texans in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Miller was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial.

Miller saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Campos, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Campos is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Ray's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Miller, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ray hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Miller struggles in that department as they've averaged .328. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
