A Season-Best Performance from Elijah Epps Leads Beacon over Saugerties

On Saturday, Beacon got the W thanks in part to Elijah Epps playing the best football he has all season. Epps rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 37 yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards.

Beacon's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Epps and Beacon will challenge O'Neill at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Big Game from Fox As Port Jervis Won 56-13

Dylan Fox's big game helped extend Port Jervis's winning streak to five on Friday. Fox was dynamite, throwing for 129 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 52 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.

If history really does repeat itself, Fox might just drop another big game when he faces off against Marlboro Central on Saturday. When Fox last faced the Dukes back in November of 2023, he rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry.

Carroll Dolshun's big game helped extend Port Jervis's winning streak to five on Friday. Nobody could stop Dolshun as he rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns.

New Paltz's probably not too fond of Dolshun given he always seems to get the better of them. When Dolshun last faced the Huguenots back in October of 2023, he rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

Anthony Theodore was instrumental in extending Port Jervis's winning streak to five on Friday. Theodore turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown.

New Paltz had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Theodore it was a similar story. When Theodore last faced the Huguenots back in October of 2023, he rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 43 receiving yards and a touchdown.
