Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. Shadow Ridge

The Legacy Longhorns are taking a road trip to challenge the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Legacy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Somerset Sky Pointe. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Legacy.

Their offense was hitting Somerset Sky Pointe from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Amari Alexander led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out Cheyenne 2-1. That's two games straight that Shadow Ridge have won by just one goal.

Shadow Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-2-2. As for Legacy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Legacy came out on top in a nail-biter against Shadow Ridge when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
