Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lafayette). They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 victory over the Joplin Eagles on Thursday.

Lafayette has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points per game. As for Joplin, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lafayette has already played their next game, a 47-38 win against Webb City on the 28th. As for Joplin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-40 victory against Neosho on the 27th.
