Softball Game Preview: Hampton Bulldogs vs. Drew Central Pirates

The Hampton Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Drew Central Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hampton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Drew Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Hampton came out on top against Poyen last Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Bulldogs never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Drew Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-2 to Crossett.

Drew Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hampton, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything went Hampton's way against Drew Central when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Hampton made off with an 11-1 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
