Northeast Guilford waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Williams Bulldogs by a score of 74-66. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-53 last Monday.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaeden Smith, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Colby Elliot, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Northeast Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Williams, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Northeast Guilford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-69 win against Lexington on the 21st. As for Williams, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 victory against Southern Alamance on the 20th.
