After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cherokee, Claiborne was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Hancock County Indians 15-5. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Garrett Keiter, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Claiborne's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 8-1 (and 3-10 when he doesn't). Jesse Francis was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Claiborne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Claiborne back to even at 11-11. As for Hancock County, they moved to 6-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Claiborne beat the Indians by a score of 7-6 later that day.
