Elmwood extends home winning streak to four

The Elmwood Trojans waltzed into their matchup Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 48-36 victory over Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]. That's another feather in the cap for Elmwood, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ashtin Staley. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex White, who scored eight points.

Elmwood's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge], they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
