Baseball Recap: Wakefield Takes a Loss

Wakefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the McLean Highlanders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in April.

Beau Branch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for McLean, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wakefield will challenge rival Langley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, McLean is set to take on their familiar foe Herndon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
