Basketball Recap: Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties vs. Central Falls Warriors

After flying high against the St. Patrick Academy Padres last Tuesday, the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties came back down to earth. Mount St. Charles Academy lost to the Warriors on the road by a decisive 57-39 margin on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mount St. Charles Academy in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Moises Maldonando continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central Falls, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds. Maldonando continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Julian Ortiz, who scored 16 points.

Mount St. Charles Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Central Falls, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
