Volleyball Recap: Academy of the Sacred Heart Comes Up Short

After flying high against Auburn Hills Christian on Thursday, Academy of the Sacred Heart came back down to earth. The Gazelles fell 2-0 to the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers on Saturday. The Gazelles have struggled against the Lakers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13.

Academy of the Sacred Heart's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Academy of the Sacred Heart is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Austin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Gazelles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they have already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Oakland Christian on the 23rd.
