Soccer Game Preview: Shadle Park vs. Riverside

The Shadle Park Highlanders will face off against the Riverside Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Shadle Park's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Shadle Park's offense. They came up short against Lewis & Clark on Wednesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Shadle Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Lewis & Clark are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Riverside didn't have quite enough to beat Newport on Thursday and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Riverside have lost by just one goal.

Shadle Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Riverside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
