Prince of Peace had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Liberty Christian Warriors by a score of 62-55. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.

Liberty Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Easton Hupp, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. That was a full 38.2% of Liberty Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Malachi Mitchell was another key player, putting up seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.

Prince of Peace has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Liberty Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prince of Peace will face off against Pantego Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pantego Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Prince of Peace likes a good challenge. As for Liberty Christian, they will take on Parish Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
