Volleyball Game Preview: La Puente Warriors vs. Workman Lobos

La Puente is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Workman Lobos at 3:30 p.m. La Puente is coming into the matchup on a 16-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Last Thursday, La Puente came up short against Baldwin Park and fell 3-1. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Braves 25-21 in the first set.

La Puente started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-8, 25-22, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Workman lost 3-0 to Glenn on Tuesday. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Workman took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-17.

La Puente's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Workman, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
