Football Recap: Berthoud Skates Past Weld Central with Ease

Berthoud won the last time they faced Weld Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Spartans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rebels 34-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Berthoud's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayce Newbill led the charge by picking up 160 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 160 receiving yards gave Newbill a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Schmidt, who threw for 165 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes.
