Soccer Recap: Cooper Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cooper can now relate to. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Palo Duro Dons who were credited with the win on Friday. The Palo Duro Dons got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to the Cooper Cougars' five. If Cooper were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to Palo Duro when the teams met back in March of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 11-9-1. As for Palo Duro, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-4 record this season.

Cooper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palo Duro, they will challenge Burges at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burges will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Palo Duro surely won't give up without a fight.
