Basketball Game Preview: Juniata Valley Hornets vs. Huntingdon Bearcats

Juniata Valley hasn't had much luck against Huntingdon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Hornets will take on the Bearcats in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. Juniata Valley will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Juniata Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Glendale to the tune of 92-39 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 58-16.

Meanwhile, Huntingdon hadn't done well against Tyrone recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bearcats secured a 55-49 W over the Golden Eagles.

The win got Huntingdon back to even at 2-2. As for Juniata Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Juniata Valley ended up a good deal behind Huntingdon when the teams last played back in February, losing 78-61. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
