Volleyball Recap: Kaitlyn Viriyapong Key Part of Team Effort in Red Hawks Win

Stewarts Creek not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the LaVergne Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-20.

Stewarts Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaitlyn Viriyapong, who had five digs and three aces. That's the most aces Viriyapong has posted since back in August. Gabriella Scales was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Stewarts Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

With the win, Stewarts Creek broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8. As for LaVergne, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
