Baseball Game Preview: San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions vs. Desert Christian Academy Conquerors

San Jacinto Leadership Academy is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Desert Christian Academy a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors at 3:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for San Jacinto Leadership Academy after they put the first runs on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School.

Aiden Westover made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Anthony Paez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Desert Christian Academy also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School by a score of 10-6.

Judah Garrison was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Westin Abarrate was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

San Jacinto Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Desert Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. San Jacinto Leadership Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Desert Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
