Volleyball Recap: Hemingford Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Hemingford duked it out with Mitchell on Monday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Hemingford took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-10, 23-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Hemingford lost, don't look at Kylie Kumpf. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs.

Hemingford's defeat dropped their record down to 16-16. As for Mitchell, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-24.

Hemingford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mitchell, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Perkins County on the 28th.
