Basketball Recap: Swink Lions vs. Swallows Charter Academy Spartans

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Swink Lions's strategy against the Swallows Charter Academy Spartans on Tuesday. Swink blew past the Spartans 41-15. The win made it back-to-back wins for Swink.

Hunter Wallace was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with seven steals. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Heberlie, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and five steals.

Despite the loss, Swallows Charter Academy saw an underclassman step up: Roni Dziuba scored ten points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Even though they lost, Swallows Charter Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Swink only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.

Swink's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Swink will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crowley County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Farmers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hoehne is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
