Basketball Game Preview: Crowley Eagles vs. Mansfield Tigers

The Crowley Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Mansfield Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Crowley is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Boswell on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Crowley took a blow against Boswell, falling 67-37. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Meanwhile, Mansfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 61-41 to Lake Ridge. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Eagles are ranked 174th).

Mansfield now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Crowley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Everything came up roses for Crowley against Mansfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, as the team secured a 66-37 win. Does Crowley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mansfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
