Baseball Recap: New Oxford Colonials vs. South Western Mustangs

New Oxford was the 4-1 winner over South Western when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The New Oxford Colonials fell 6-3 to the South Western Mustangs on Thursday. New Oxford has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Oxford saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Ryan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

On South Western's side, Brandon Rummel made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Rummel was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

South Western will take on York Suburban at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. South Western is facing York Suburban at the right time seeing as York Suburban is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
