Baseball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington managed to slip by Jeannette the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Prexies lost 12-3 to the Jayhawks on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Caleb Patton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Washington has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Jeannette, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will challenge Taylor Allderdice at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jeannette, they will square off against Avella at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Jayhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
