Preview: Rochester Zebras vs. Argos Dragons
The Rochester Zebras will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Argos Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Argos took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Rochester, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Rochester didn't have too much trouble with Southwood at home as they won 39-25. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rochester.
Rochester's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella McCarter, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Rylee Clevenger, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Argos pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to West Central 61-56. Argos has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Samantha Redinger put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 30 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. She scored a full 53.6% of Argos' points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgyn Barcus, who scored 9 points along with 5 assists.
The victory got Rochester back to even at 5-5. As for Argos, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
