Basketball Game Preview: Byron-Bergen Bees vs. Wheatland-Chili Wildcats

Byron-Bergen and Wheatland-Chili are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Byron-Bergen Bees will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wheatland-Chili Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Wednesday, Byron-Bergen didn't have quite enough to beat Oakfield-Alabama and fell 44-42. The defeat continues a trend for the Bees in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Wheatland-Chili won against Pembroke two weeks ago with 47 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Wheatland-Chili walked away with a 47-38 victory over Kendall. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Eagles are ranked 723rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wheatland-Chili's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-3. As for Byron-Bergen, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
