The biggest upset of the week belonged to McAuley Catholic, who took down 236th ranked McAuley Catholic, 20-6. Jordan Adams ran for 136 yards in the win.
Derrick Estell of Miller ran for the longest rushing play in Spring River Valley this season against Liberal last week. Estell ran for 98 yards on the play and finished with 168 on the day as his team bested the Bulldogs.
Miller's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dalton Gulick threw for 30 and one touchdown and Chris Collins had 30 yards receiving.
Dustin Baldwin 's team's Gulick and Collins have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gulick has thrown for 1517 yards this season, while Collins, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 21 catches for 395 yards. Cedric O'Hara from Pierce City leads the league in rushing with 1359 yards.
Adams of the Jasper is only 42 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Adams has rushed for 958 yards on 158 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on the Tigers. Jasper is in fifth place, while Lockwood is in fourth place.
The Cardinals extended the longest winning streak in Spring River Valley this week by beating Liberal, 42-6. The win marks 10th in a row for the Miller.
