Center Line took a 26-point loss the last time they faced off against St. Clair, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Saints 21-20.

Masai Ali produced another solid effort rushing for 201 yards and a pair of TDs.

Ali was just one part of a punishing run game: Center Line was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 157 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Center Line's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. Clair, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Center Line is set to take on their familiar foe Eastpointe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Clair will square off against rival South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
