Basketball Recap: Schaumburg Christian Takes a Loss

Schaumburg Christian played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 69-30 loss at the hands of the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-9.

Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Williams, who posted eight points. Those eight points gave Williams a new career-high.

Schaumburg Christian's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Marian Central Catholic, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schaumburg Christian will welcome Taft at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Schaumburg Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season. As for Marian Central Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westminster Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marian Central Catholic is facing Westminster Christian at the right time seeing as Westminster Christian is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
