Baseball Recap: South Walton Triumphs

South Walton won the last time they faced Arnold and things went their way on Friday too. The Seahawks came out on top against the Marlins by a score of 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Seahawks.

South Walton got a great performance from Griffin Loy as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Loy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carter Hawk was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

South Walton's record now sits at 14-3. As for Arnold, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

South Walton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Pace on the 24th. As for Arnold, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Marianna on the 21st.
