Basketball Game Preview: Fertile-Beltrami Falcons vs. Fosston Greyhounds

The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Fosston Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Fertile-Beltrami ended up a good deal behind Badger/Greenbush-Middle River and lost 56-41. The Falcons have struggled against the Gators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Fosston had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it four last Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 58-35 margin over the Bears. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Fosston is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Fertile-Beltrami, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Fertile-Beltrami came up short against Fosston when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 45-39. Can Fertile-Beltrami avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
