Recap: Talawanda Brave vs. West Clermont Wolves
On Saturday, Talawanda took a serious blow against West Clermont, falling 61-28. Talawanda has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading West Clermont to victory were Taylor Schmidt and Layla Hale. Schmidt scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists, while Hale scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hale has scored at least 25% of West Clermont's points. Maddi Fender was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Talawanda's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Clermont, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Talawanda will take on Mt. Healthy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Clermont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
