Recap: Castle Knights vs. Waialua Bulldogs
The Castle Knights had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They strolled past Waialua with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. For Castle, this counts as revenge for the 42-37 loss Waialua walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Castle's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davis Mitchell, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aukanai'i Arcala, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Castle pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Waialua, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castle will take on Kamehameha Kapalama at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Waialua, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hawaiian Mission Academy at 7:00 p.m.
