Live Oak Classical had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They came out on top against the Itasca Wampus Cats by a score of 46-33. 46 seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Leading Live Oak Classical to victory were Ashlyn Helton and Audrey Pahmiyer. Helton almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine steals, while Pahmiyer posted 14 points along with five assists and four steals. With that strong performance, Helton is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. Stella Sriram was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Live Oak Classical smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Live Oak Classical pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Itasca, they moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
