A Season-Best Effort from Ryder Norton Leads Northwest over Bell
On Thursday, Northwest got the W thanks in part to Ryder Norton playing the best football he has all season. Norton rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 61 yards.
The win for Northwest keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Norton and Northwest are taking a road trip to take on Keller Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Davis Penn Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Southlake Carroll got the W thanks in part to Davis Penn playing the best football he has all season. Penn rushed for 136 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in December of 2023.
If history really does repeat itself, Penn might just drop another big game when he faces off against V.R. Eaton on Thursday. When Penn last faced the Eagles back in October of 2023, he rushed for 128 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries.

Angelo Renda's big game helped extend Southlake Carroll's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Renda as he threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes.
