Soccer Recap: Greendale Takes a Loss

Greendale lost against Waukesha West back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers lost 8-0 to the Wolverines. While losing is never fun, Greendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Waukesha West are ranked 28th).

Greendale's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Waukesha West, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Greendale will venture away from home to take on Pius XI Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Waukesha West, they will welcome Catholic Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Catholic Memorial will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
