Softball Recap: Olympic Heights Victorious

Olympic Heights's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Suncoast Chargers by a score of 13-10. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-8 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Mya Rey-Anderson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Elsie Throckmorton was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI.

Olympic Heights always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Suncoast only posted an OBP of .333.

Olympic Heights' record is now 8-10. As for Suncoast, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Coming up, Olympic Heights will challenge Atlantic Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Sharks at the right time seeing as the Sharks are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Suncoast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clewiston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.19 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
