Soccer Game Preview: Cocoa Beach vs. Astronaut

Cocoa Beach and Astronaut are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cocoa Beach Minutemen will take on the Astronaut War Eagles in a tournament on Wednesday.

Cocoa Beach is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Rockledge on Monday. Cocoa Beach and Rockledge finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Astronaut, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They won by a goal and slipped past Titusville 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the War Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Terriers are ranked 140th).

Cocoa Beach's draw gives them a new season record of 11-3-1. As for Astronaut, their win bumped their record up to 4-5-1.

Cocoa Beach suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Astronaut in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Cocoa Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
