Recap: Cecilia Bulldogs vs. Northwest Raiders
The Cecilia Bulldogs extended their postseason success on Friday against the Northwest Raiders. They blew past the Raiders 55-18 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Cecilia who now have 11 in a row.
It was another big night for Corey Broussard, who rushed for 202 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. Broussard really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Diesel Solari, who rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Northwest still got an impressive performance from Ja'Vain Reese, who rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Reese has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.
Cecilia's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Northwest, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
Cecilia will face off against Opelousas at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Opelousas is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
