Softball Recap: Eagle Takes Down Ranked Timberline

Eagle faced Timberline in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mustangs never let the Wolves get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Peyton Bargen made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Bargen was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ellie McManigal, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aly Vieira, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Eagle's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Timberline, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 17-4 record.

As of now, neither Eagle nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
