Soccer Game Preview: Enumclaw vs. Federal Way + How To Watch

The Enumclaw Hornets are taking a road trip to take on the Federal Way Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Federal Way will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Enumclaw extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Hornets never let Kent-Meridian get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Given Enumclaw's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Kent-Meridian are ranked 231st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Enumclaw's offense was hitting Kent-Meridian from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Teagin Clark led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Federal Way). They blew past Kent-Meridian 6-2 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for Federal Way in their matchups with Kent-Meridian: they've now won four in a row.

Federal Way's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Enumclaw, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-2.

Enumclaw took their victory against Federal Way in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
