Football Preview: Beaumont Cougars vs. Summit SkyHawks        
        
		
             Beaumont has gone 3-0 against Summit recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Beaumont Cougars will face off against the Summit SkyHawks at 7:30  p.m. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Friday, Beaumont beat San Jacinto 28-20. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Cougars.
  Jeremiah Duhu was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 49 yards.  Kainalu Johnston was  Duhu's top target, picking up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Beaumont was moving up and down the field and  finished the game with 454  total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Jacinto only gained 363.
 Beaumont wouldn't let San Jacinto keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Beaumont can thank  Jaden Subero and  Dominic Elysee for forcing both of them. Subero's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  forcing a fumble and making ten total tackles (1.0 for loss) in addition to snagging   an  interception.
 Meanwhile, while Summit put up plenty of  points on Thursday, the same  can't be said for Chino. Summit breezed by Chino on the road  to the tune of  33-0. Given the SkyHawks' advantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 157th, while the Cowboys are ranked 430th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Beaumont's record is now 2-0. As for Summit, their record is now 2-0.
 Everything came up roses for Beaumont against Summit in their previous meeting  back in August of 2023 as the  team secured  a  38-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beaumont since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
