Basketball Recap: Blake Marshall Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Pine Creek ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-45 win over the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Pine Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Marshall, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards Marshall has posted since back in February of 2024. Luke Wright was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

The victory got Pine Creek back to even at 9-9. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Pine Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-60 win against Liberty on the 10th. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-35 loss against Rampart on the 10th.
