Baseball Game Preview: Mannford Pirates vs. Pryor Tigers

Mannford hasn't had much luck against Pryor recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pirates will face off against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Mannford's victory against Cleveland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates skirted past the Tigers 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Pryor made easy work of Clinton on Thursday and carried off a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 15 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Pryor's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carter Sloan, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Gavin Roberts was another, earning one RBI and two runs.

Mannford's record is now 5-15. As for Pryor, their record now sits at 21-2.

Mannford might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Pryor in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
