Volleyball Recap: Durham Academy Takes a Loss

Durham Academy lost against Wake Christian Academy back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cavaliers fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 14-25, 25-22.

Nora McNealy paced Durham Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. McNealy got some help from Hayley Skye and her 30 assists. Alice Chen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Durham Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wake Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Durham Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Forsyth Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will welcome Ravenscroft at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
