Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Prep Silver Knights vs. Shadow Hills Knights

The Riverside Prep Silver Knights will take on the Shadow Hills Knights in a tournament on Thursday. Riverside Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Shadow Hills likes a good challenge.

Riverside Prep took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took down Hesperia Christian 66-47.

Meanwhile, Shadow Hills lost to Redlands East Valley at home by a 72-55 margin on Monday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverside Prep will need focus on slowing down John Castro, one of several Shadow Hills players who made an impact when they last played. He posted nine points and three steals. Those three steals gave Castro a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sergio Felix, who earned 14 points and three steals.

Riverside Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Shadow Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
