Soccer Game Preview: Monte Vista vs. Amador Valley

Monte Vista and Amador Valley are an even 3-3-4 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The Monte Vista Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Amador Valley Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Monte Vista didn't have quite enough to beat Dougherty Valley and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Amador Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Dublin.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 6-3-2. As for Amador Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-6.

Monte Vista beat Amador Valley by a goal in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monte Vista since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
