Basketball Recap: Borger Comes Up Short

Borger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 85-45 loss at the hands of the Dumas Demons. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1235th, while the Demons are ranked 518th).

Despite the loss, Borger still got an impressive performance from Tahqulin Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. That was a full 57.8% of Borger's points, marking the 14th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Borger's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Dumas, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Borger will host Hereford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Borger has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Dumas, they will challenge Canyon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
